Gods child Asked: can i put hot chocolate mix in sugar cookies?

Can i put Hot chocolate mix in sugar cookies to make chocolate sugar cookies?

Here’s the recipe i would be using:

1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup [one stick] unsalted butter softened
3/4 cup of sugar
1 egg
3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Nana Lamb Answered:
If you want to, go ahead!! I would use about 1 cup cocoa mix or 1/4 cup Hershey Cocoa powder either regular or the Dark Chocolate. Or you can melt bitter baking chocolate, chocolate chips, bakers semi sweet chocolate, or Hershey bars and stir it in.

Linda Answered:
You could, but the chocolate flavor wouldn’t be very strong. And hot chocolate mix has sugar and powdered milk in it too. If you really want to, use 1/4 cup of the mix and reduce the sugar to 1/2 cup.

melt 3 bars of hershey’s chocolate (or maybe more depending on how much it makes) using milk and medium heat.

then while still hot, roll bananas in the chocolate. then sprinkle with chocolate chips if you want reallllly chocolaty! (misspelled on purpose:).

Also, you can roll in sprinkles!!!

Refrigerate or freeze!

mmmmm!

CHOCOLATE-COVERED BANANA POPS

3 ripe bananas
9 wooden ice cream sticks or skewers
2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 tbsp. shortening
1 1/2 c. coarsely chopped, unsalted, roasted peanuts

Peel bananas, cut each into thirds, insert wooden stick into each banana piece, and place on wax paper covered tray cover; cover. Freeze until firm (THEY MUST BE FROZEN). In top of double boiler over hot (not boiling water), melt chocolate chips and shortening. Remove bananas from freezer just before dipping. Dip each piece into chocolate mix; cover completely and roll in peanuts. Cover and return to freezer.

Chocolate Sauce

Ingredients
2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa
1 2/3 cups white sugar
1cups whole milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine cocoa, sugar and milk. Bring to a boil and let boil 1 minute. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.

After that dip the bananas in the chocolate and let sit to cool and harden on wax paper.

Or, if you got some time and don’t mind the extra work you can make…

chocolate covered banana pie

Ingredients
3 cups crushed vanilla wafers
1/2 cup chopped pecans
2/3 cup butter, melted
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
4 cups milk
4 1/2 cups miniature marshmallows
2 (3.5 ounce) packages instant vanilla pudding mix
1 cup frozen whipped topping, thawed
2 large bananas, sliced
1 (1.5 ounce) bar milk chocolate candy

Directions
1. Combine crushed cookie crumbs, pecans, and butter or margarine. Press into a 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 5 minutes. Cool.
2. Combine chocolate chips, 1 cup milk, and 2 cups marshmallows in a sauce pan. Stir over low heat until melted. Pour over cooled crust. Chill for 1 hour.
3. Arrange banana slices over chilled chocolate layer.
4. Prepare pudding mix as directed on box except use only 3 cups of milk. Fold in nondairy whipped topping and remaining marshmallows. Pour pudding mixture over bananas. Grate chocolate bar over the top. Chill for 2 to 3 hours before serving.

Chocolate banana boats

6 large bananas, unpeeled, stems removed
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1 (10.5 ounce) package miniature marshmallows

Directions
1. Preheat the grill for high heat.
2. Spray 4 sheets of aluminum foil, large enough to wrap bananas, with cooking spray.
3. Slice the peel of the banana from stem to bottom, while slicing the banana inside lengthwise. The bananas can be cut into slices instead if you like, (while still in the peel) for easier handling later.
4. Carefully open the banana just wide enough to place the chocolate chips and marshmallows inside the peel with the banana. Stuff with as much of the chocolate chips and marshmallows as desired.
5. Wrap the bananas with the aluminum foil and place on the grill or directly in the coals of a fire. Leave in long enough to melt the chips and the marshmallows, about 5 minutes. Unwrap bananas, open the peels wide, and eat with a spoon.

Can you use a hershey’s chocolate bar to make cookies?

Cara Asked: Can you use a hershey’s chocolate bar to make cookies?

I’m out of chocolate chips and I wanted to use a chocolate bar broken up into bits to make chocolate chip cookies, but wasn’t sure if it’d be too sweet or something. Thanks in advance!

Scarlett Answered:
I think so. If you stick a Hershey’s bar that’s broken in half into some dough, I think it might work. Hope I helped!
Smileyy Answered:
Yeah.
Hershey’s chocolate is the same sweetness as choco chips.

Is it okay to use expired chocolate chips?

Joy O Asked: Is it okay to use expired chocolate chips?

I want to make chocolate chip pancakes but ran out of chocolate chips. I found a pack that expired in August 2009 so it’s two years old. Do you think it’s safe for me to eat?

Answers:

Nora Answered:
you could call the company customer service and ask
Joanna Answered:
if your going too cook them. its perfectly fine.
EmmaRose Answered:
Yeah it’s perfectly fine to eat them since you are cooking them.
dolaine74 Answered:
wow…1st I never really noticed that chocolate chips have an expiration date, they don’t last long around here! I don’t think that they would truly go bad..but if in doubt call the company!
AnnaBananaxox Answered:
Yes as long as you have stored them properly (obviously) and are cooking them it is perfectly fine.Hope this helps and enjoy your pancakes haha, you’ve actually made me hungry now :L

Jeff Answered:

As long as they have been stored in a dry place, chocolate chips will be safe to eat.  The purpose of the expiration date is simply to tell you when they might not taste as good as they did when they were first made.

So how do you decide whether or not to use them?  Taste one.  If you like the taste, go ahead and use the chips in whatever you want.  If you do not like the taste, throw them away.

How can you make chocolate milkshake at home?

Laeh Cornworth Asked: How can you make chocolate milkshake at home?

I want to make it 🙂

Answers:

Lexi Answered:
You need a blender, vanilla ice cream, chocolate syrup and milk. Put all of these in the blender then blend, you will need 1/4 to 1/2 the blender of milk. Enjoy!
Happiest in the kitchen Answered:
Really? A milkshake is SOOO simple.

Ice cream (flavor of choice) in this case use vanilla and choc syrup or choc with a little more choc syrup.

Then add in milk. For more chocolate flavor go with choc milk. Use a little at a time you can always add more to make a thinner milkshake if you need to.

Jazz Blob Answered:
put chocolate milk and ice and milk in a blender and get blending
