What’s a good icing for a dark chocolate bunt cake?
Question by LawComm: What’s a good icing for a dark chocolate bunt cake?
I’m making a “dark chocolate” cake mix in a bunt style pan. What should I ice it with? I’d prefer something easy. I’ve seen a “drizzle” type of icing in pictures for that kind of cake. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

A pound of Sour cream heated up in the microwave with a bag of choc chips melted in it. Add some triple sec if you like. It’s very glossy and it sets to a nice shiny finish. It takes about an hour to set.

just melt some chocolate, add some powdered sugar and vanilla and drizzle on your bunt cake, if too thick thin with a little milk….very little
Add a couple Tbsp brewed coffee, and ½ tsp. vanilla extract to 1½ cups of xxx sugar… stir well and drizzle over cooled cake.
Boiled chocolate frosting…So good and will lay on the cake like a glaze but thicker
Frosting
Mix 1 cup sugar with enough cocoa “so it looks right.” Stir in cream. Cook over med. low heat to soft ball stage. Remove from heat, and beat by hand “with wooden spoon” until amost spreaking consistency. If you beat it too long, and are frosting layer cakes, it will be too hard on the top layer. If too hard, beat in a drop or two of hot water.
Advice on frosting. At least 1.5 the recipe because you will want to have plenty of frosting — enough to lick the pan
